Cut Out

In Photoshop I used the quick select tool to highlight just the tree. I then refined my edges. I wanted to show what a difference the sky makes in this picture. I feel I makes the tree look alive, it makes the ride look higher in the sky, and it defines the edges of the tree more. What a beautiful day.

This is the Newport Beach Light house on the Oregon Coast. I decided to cut out the sky because of the overcast. I think it makes the lighthouse look dull. I also adjusted the levels of the picture to bring out the whiteness of the lighthouse.

To me yellow can come across as very dominating or soft and warm. While I was in Leavenworth, WA the sunflowers were in full bloom. What a gerogeous sight it was and I wanted to capture this with my camera. I barely adjusted the levels in photoshop and the rest was done on the camera.

The duck, oh the duck. This was one of my daughters favorite toys. Within 24 hours the duck had been washed, plucked, had an eye missing, lost a foot, and was smothered. This picture says it all.
